LARC allows you to find and filter hotels that match your specific criteria. You’ll be able to narrow down your hotels of interest on the basis of several key attributes. With a selection of available filters to choose from, which includes filtering by a specific market, brand, or even room count and more, you’ll be able to find new opportunities in no time!

Once you have the list of hotels that match your specified criteria, you can download a report for all of those properties and dive into the details. So, let’s get started!

Note: The LARC score is our proprietary scoring mechanism to analytically compute and compare location characteristics across geographies. Some of the indicators used to rank a hotel using LARC score include current and future hotel supply, retail sales, economic activity, office employment, meeting space, as well as modeled leisure demand and RevPAR. The LARC score is about the quality of a site location, and not the asset in that location. For example, a Motel 6 and Four Seasons at the same location would have similar LARC scores. In addition, LARC scores are normalized from 0 to 100.

Set your filtering criteria

  1. Navigate to the top-left corner of your screen and click on the Search bar in the map header.

  2. Next, click on Find hotels that match specific criteria to set your desired filters.

  3. In the new panel on your screen, you’ll be able to choose your filtering criteria from a range of options. Available filters include: LARC score, Market, Submarket, Scale, Franchise, Meeting Room, and Room Count.
Note: LARC score is set as a default filter. You can easily change the filtering conditions for this filter and set the score to your liking. To deselect this default filter, simply click on the “X” next to it.

  4. You can either select the matching parameters now or after you’ve selected your filtering criteria. You have three options to choose from: Match all to find hotels that match all of your specified criteria, Match any to find hotels that match any one of your specified criteria, and Match none to filter out the hotels that do not match any of your specified criteria.

  5. Next, time to select your filters! Click on +New criterion to select one or more filters from the list of available filters. We’ll go ahead and select Market to define our area of search and Scale to determine the type of properties we’d like to see as an example.
  6. Once you’ve selected your filters, click on the dropdown menu next to each of them to set your filtering parameters. For example, you can choose from different trade areas in the Market option. So, we’ll go ahead and select “New York, NY” as our market and set the Scale of hotels as “Midscale”.
Note: In the dropdown menu for the LARC score filter, you can input any value up to 100 and set your filtering condition to be greater than, less than, equal to, not equal to, greater than or equal to, or less than or equal to your desired score.
  7. Now that you’ve set your filtering criteria, click on Find hotels and get ready to explore new opportunities.
Note: To deselect any of your selected filters, simply click on “X”.
